Outdoor School Partnership
"encouraging reverence for life and a lifelong love of learning"

Owl pellets are a terrific low-mess dissection activity.  Our partnership has all the materials you'll need to complete this dissection, or we can lead it for you.  You can find your own source for owl pellets, or we can order them for you.  Prices can be found online here...

Dissect an earthworm.  A great activity to complement soil science and/or vermicomposting at outdoor school.

At Twin Rocks Friends Camp students study living sand dollars from a touch pool, then study a sand dollar test and break it to reveal the doves (teeth) inside.  Finally they place the doves in a necklace to take home.

_Sea Stars are echinoderms and make for a great entry level dissection activity....

_Dogfish are a common small specie of shark and belong to one of the oldest families of living animals...

_Dissections are difficult to teach and can make staff and students nervous. They require setup, expertise, training, cleanup, equipment, and are messy. If you are attending a Partner Camp we can help you prepare for and run the activity, or we can staff the dissection and run it for you....
